Terrashield Coarse by JPL Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is an elastomeric, fire-retardant, eco-friendly (no river sand) and hydrophobic plaster. The surface is directly paintable — there is no need for putty, sanding or primer. Paint coverage is typically improved by ~15% due to a more homogeneous substrate film.

Product Overview

Ideal for levelling and finishing walls post-jointing/taping, reinforcing weak or cracked surfaces, and creating a paintable skin over Mivan, AAC and precast structures. Suitable for interior and exterior applications across residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Application Procedure

Prior Check

  • Ensure substrate is free of chalking, loose sand or particles, oil & grease stains, fungus, algae or moss.
  • Confirm substrate has not debonded from its sub-substrate and is completely dry and sound. Check for hollow plaster by knocking.

Procedure

  1. Load Terrashield Coarse on Mivan, AAC block masonry, precast construction or cement-plastered walls with a trowel or roller in 2 coats to a recommended thickness of 4.0–4.5 mm.
  2. Apply the first coat and allow to dry for at least 10–12 hours.
  3. Apply the second coat with a roller or trowel and remove excess material vertically & horizontally to obtain a smooth, seamless surface.
  4. Surface is ready for painting within 96 hours after completion of the second coat.

Notes

First fill cracks, then apply coatings. For AAC blocks and precast panels ≤ 2 ft width embed 45 GSM nylon mesh between coats while the first coat surface is wet. On drywall/precast/Mivan joints embed 45 GSM mesh (max width 150 mm) over joints between coats; terminate mesh at ceiling up to 100 mm where necessary. Avoid overlapping vertical mesh joints; overlap mesh at corners & joints by at least 100 mm.

Use Premium Emulsion for interiors and Anti-Fungal Emulsion for exteriors where substrate is AAC block or drywall. On other substrates (Mivan, RCC, cement plaster) standard internal/external emulsions, OBD or Premium Emulsion may be used as appropriate.
